Abstract of the Presentations:Solar GeV particle appearance is identified as a sudden, sharp and short-lived increase in the cosmic ray temporal evolution. Predictions of severe weather at near-Earth space can be performed on the ground instantly by inspecting the increased radiation exposure, which is always evident above the background of the GeV particle temporal evolution. Therefore, studying the GeV particle events is not only important for comprehension of the mechanism, but also vital for realizing the near-Earth space, and thus alarming the astronauts, pilots and aircrews in advance. Hence there is a strong demand to know why and how the GeV particle events take place. Solar flares or/and coronal mass ejection (CME)-associated shocks are the acceleration processes, which are always associated with the GeV particle events. However, there were many solar flares and CME shocks that did not cause GeV particle event. Thus, the GeV particle occurrence is still known as a mysterious event. My presentation will focus particularly on the GeV particles and their acceleration processes (e.g., flares; CME shocks) right after briefing some related issues (e.g., heliosphere; magnetosphere).
